Achievements

The Mighty Penguins continue to build on our existing foundation by increasing player involvement and expanding the number of teams competing locally, nationally, and internationally. What was once a single-team organization, the Mighty Penguins now roster two youth and three adult teams that include Junior Gold, Junior Black, Adult Gold, Adult Black, and our top tier Senior Team. These teams compete in various tournaments throughout the United States and Canada.

Players with the Mighty Penguins have achieved tremendous success and recognition nationally and internationally. Alumni, Josh Wirt became a 2002 Paralympic Gold Medalist. In 2010, current player Nevin Gray, was selected for the 2010 USA Junior National Team. Daniel McCoy, current player & Director of Player Development, won the gold medal at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia with the USA National Men’s Team. In 2017, current player Harrison Burgess was named to the USA National Men's Development Team and most recently Wesley Clawson, also a current player, was named to the USA National Men's Team roster for the International Para Hockey Cup in Czechia.
